How do you open the gas cap on a 2021 Toyota RAV4?

I’m new to the 2021 RAV4. With other vehicles I’ve owned, the gas cap cover either flips out, or you just need to push on it to pop it open. Not working here! How do you open the gas cap on a 2021 Toyota RAV4?

Opening the gas cap on a

can be tricky if you’ve never done it before! To open the gas cap on a 2021 Toyota RAV4, you won’t be able to simply press the gas cap in on the exterior. You’ll have to unlock it from inside your car.

To the left and slightly below your steering wheel, you’ll find the release lever. Pull up on the gas cap release lever, and it’ll unlock your Toyota RAV4’s gas cap for you. After you finish filling up at the gas station, press the gas cap close to lock it.
