Storage can definitely do a number on your car’s exterior! Not to worry, though—it’s easy to fix a dusty exterior.
Start by blowing the majority of the light dust from the car with a fine compressed air blower, air gun, or a portable shop blower. It’s best to do this outside so that you don’t end up blowing dust all around your garage.
Next, get your detailing spray and apply the first mist coat. Use a little more than you would normally. However, make sure it’s not enough to form droplets—you want just enough that you can see the liquid completely covering the surface.
Once it’s covered, take a cloth and use the following technique:
Put a hand on each side of the cloth and softly run the cloth along the surface.
Then, with no pressure, pull it in a straight line back towards you.
Make sure you’re moving the cloth slowly.
You want to continually expose a clean part of the cloth to the paint.
At the end give your car a quick rinse with water, and the job should be complete!
