Why aren’t my Toyota Tacoma’s windshield wipers working?

I drive a Toyota Tacoma and recently my windshield wipers have stopped working correctly—the last time I turned them off they didn’t reset properly and now they won’t turn on again. Why aren’t my Toyota Tacoma’s windshield wipers working?

While there could be several reasons why your
Toyota Tacoma’s
windshield wipers aren’t working, the two most common issues are a broken wiper motor and a faulty switch.
If you check your vehicle’s fuse box and find that the wiper fuse—labeled 30A—is not blown and that power is directing to the motor, it’s likely that your wiper motor has died and may need replacing.
It’s also possible that the windshield wiper switch itself is faulty, or that the wiring to the switch has worn out—in this case, you’ll need to either replace the switch yourself or have a mechanic diagnose the issue for you and replace it as necessary.
