was made in Hiroshima, Japan, in Mazda’s Ujina #2 factory, starting in early 2006. The vehicle served as Mazda’s mid-size crossover SUV and was first released in 2006. Although similar to the CX-9
, the CX-7 was slightly smaller and sat on a different platform—it used the Ford C1 platform that was also used for the Ford Focus
and Mazda 3
. You still may see some CX-7s on the road, but the SUV was discontinued in August 2012 in favor of the more popular
