What does RT stand for in Dodge cars?
I just bought the most amazing Dodge Challenger R/T and I was afraid to ask the salesperson, but I really want to know—what does the R/T mean?

Performance car enthusiasts love to toss around terms like R/T, but even some of them don’t actually know what it means—it stands for Road and Track.
Road/Track (or R/T) is a performance trim Dodge debuted in 1967 on the Coronet, but the most famous R/T is probably the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Collectors pay upwards of $100k for base models and rare convertibles often sell for more than $1M.
When you opted for the R/T trim on your new Challenger, you got better performance features and specs than are available on the standard trim—but you avoided the $30K+ price hike that comes with the power boost of the SRT (Street and Racing Technology) trims.
