Should I be worried about using roadside assistance because it may go on my CLUE report?
Will roadside assistance raise my rates? I was reading about CLUE reports and now I'm hesitant to use my roadside assistance through my auto insurer because it might raise my rates.

“CLUE, also known as the Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange, is an online database that insurers use to see how many claims you’ve made on insurance, be it your home or auto.
Despite the fact that roadside assistance technically isn’t a claim on insurance, some insurers will add this to the CLUE or file a CLUE report on it. By doing so, all insurers in the future and present can see what claims you’ve made.
Noting roadside assistance claims on the CLUE report doesn’t necessarily mean your
car insurance
will raise your rates. Four roadside assistance calls in a year is the average and it seems like the magic number.
So if you’re worried about it, try to keep your calls to roadside assistance to three. If you need to make more calls than that, consider getting a
