, you will need to log at least 50 hours of supervised driving time, 10 of which will need to be at night. A parent or guardian will need to sign off on your log sheets. Depending on your exact age, you may be required to complete additional behind-the-wheel training, which must also be logged and signed off on by your parent or guardian. You are required to complete six more hours of behind-the-wheel training if BOTH of the following are true:
- You started the whole process (including driver’s education and applying for a permit) before your 16th birthday
- You are under 16 and 6 months at the time of your license application
If you’re an adult, there is no driving hours requirement, and you can take your driver’s exam whenever you feel prepared to do so. Keep in mind that you will also have to pass a vision and written exam in order to receive your Colorado driver’s license.
