, the 2024 Chevy Trax measures 11 inches longer and two inches wider than last year’s model, plus has a roofline that’s four inches lower than the outgoing car. The design and styling choices are inspired by the Chevrolet Blazer, giving the 2024 Trax a sharp, clean, and fresh look. Why did it get a price cut?
So, if the 2024 Chevy Trax is bigger and better than last year’s model, why did it get a price cut? MotorTrend reports that the answer to that question is beneath the hood of the car, as the 2024 Chevy Trax uses a turbocharged 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine, while the model before used a turbocharged inline-four engine. The new engine gets 137 hp, while the old engine could reach 155 hp.
But, Chevrolet engineers that worked on the 2024 Trax said despite the power cut, the 0 to 60 mph acceleration time improved by a full second in the newest model. Engineers also worked on improving shift quality and shift speed in the latest Trax model.
