How do you reset the computer (PCM) in a Ford diesel truck?
My engine’s been jerky and inconsistent for a week or so. I had everything checked out mechanically, so there must be an issue with the ECU. What’s the best way to reset the computer in my Ford diesel truck?

Computers facilitate everything in our cars, from the engine and
air conditioning
to airbags and brakes. But, sometimes, they get a little out of whack. Luckily, you can follow these steps to reset the computer in your Ford diesel truck and get things back into working shape:- Start by turning off your car and disconnecting both battery cables.
- From there, get into the driver’s seat and turn the ignition to the Accessory position.
- Leave it in the Accessory position for 20-30 minutes.
- Then, remove your key and reconnect the battery cables. Your Ford truck’s computer has been reset!
