How do you open the gas tank on a BMW X7?
I’m out running errands for my boss in her new BMW. One of my tasks is to fill up the tank, but now I’m sitting in the gas station looking for a release button. Can you tell me how to open a gas tank on a BMW X7?

To open the gas tank on a BMW X7, turn off the engine, leave the car unlocked, and exit the car. Now, go to where the gas tank is located (driver’s side). Lightly press the edge of the gas tank door (aka fuel filler door), and it should open.
Before you remove the gas cap, touch a metal part of the car to discharge any static electricity. Unscrew the cap by turning it counterclockwise and place it in the holder BMW has designed as part of the fuel filler door.
When you are done putting in the gas, screw the cap back on by turning it to the right until you hear a clicking noise. And don’t forget to close the gas tank door.
