To pair your Dodge Ram 1500 with Android Auto, you must use a USB cord or connect via Bluetooth. Once you plug one end into your phone and the other into one of your truck’s USB ports, the Android Auto icon will appear at the bottom of your infotainment screen. Just press the Android Auto icon to connect, and that’s it!
Or, to connect via Bluetooth, look at your truck’s Uconnect infotainment screen and press the phone icon. From there, click “Add device,” then “Settings.” This will allow your truck to be discoverable to your phone. You’ll see a PIN displayed on the screen when you do this, which you’ll need in order to successfully pair the two.
Now, open up your Android and navigate to the Bluetooth settings, and select your Dodge Ram 1500 from the list of available devices. You’ll then be prompted to enter the PIN displayed on your infotainment screen, and after you enter it your phone and truck should link up no problem.
