How do I reset the oil life light on my Honda CR-V 2014?

The oil life light started going off in my Honda CR-V, so I decided to get an oil change. But the light stayed on, even after I had the car serviced! Is the oil light automatic? If not, what steps should I take to reset the oil life light in my 2014 Honda CR-V?

While many things in newer cars are automated, the oil light is not, so you’ll need to reset it every time you change your oil. Follow these steps to reset the oil life light in your
Honda CR-V
from 2014:
  • Locate the reset button in the upper right-hand corner of your instrument display.
  • Turn on your car.
  • Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.
  • Turn off your car to save the change.
Keep in mind that forgetting to reset your oil life light can cause you to miss your next oil change. As a result, you could experience problems like overheating or lower fuel economy if you wait too long for an oil change. Your car’s functionality depends on regular care and attention, so try your best to keep to a strict
