How do you remove violations from your driving record in California?

Can violations on your California driving record be removed? I’ve accumulated quite a few tickets and I’m worried that they might start to affect my car insurance.

The easiest way to remove violation points from your driving record in California is to find a
California state-approved defensive driving course
. Completing one of these courses can remove one to two points from your record.
If you’d rather, you can also just wait for the points to be automatically removed from your record. This will happen three years after a minor offense or 10 years after a major offense (like a DUI). If you don’t get more points in the meantime, this is a great way to clear up your driving record.
