How do I cancel my GEICO insurance policy?
How can I cancel my GEICO policy without speaking to someone? I am combining insurance with my partner and will be switching over to their Safeco policy. I hate, hate talking to companies over the phone and want to avoid that if at all possible.

is one of them. Instead of calling, you can chat with a GEICO agent online or email them a cancelation request. However, you must email GEICO directly with the email address on file. If you use a different one, they will not process your request.
Depending on your state, you may need to provide GEICO with a written cancelation request or a copy of your new
insurance policy or ID card
.Once you are ready to cancel, have this information with you so the transaction can go smoothly:
- Name and date of birth
- GEICO policy number
- Safecopolicy number
- Date the Safeco policy is effective for your car
- Current mailing address
