Can an SR-22 cover any vehicle I drive?

If your SR-22 is registered with the state as an owner/operator filing, your SR-22 will cover any vehicle that you drive. It will cover your own vehicle as well as a car you rent or borrow.
If you only have an owner filing, it will only cover the vehicle that you own.
While it doesn’t apply to you, an operator filing would be for when you don’t own a vehicle but often rent or borrow. This is called
non owners car insurance
. To confirm the type of filing that your insurance company has submitted to the DMV, you can reach out to them or the DMV directly.”
