Is driving with a light on illegal?
I was recently told that driving with a light on was illegal. I don’t get why this would be the case. Is driving with an interior light on illegal?

Great question! It’s a common misconception that driving with an interior light on is illegal, but it is actually not.
Just because it’s legal to drive with a light on doesn’t make it safe. Unless completely necessary, you shouldn’t do it because:
- It can decrease your visibility of the road
- It can distract other drivers
Either of these can result in a car accident.
