Does home insurance cover you against criminal acts?

What kinds of crimes does my policy provide coverage for? I'm asking since I live in a high-crime area.

Typically, your home insurance will cover a few criminal acts that can happen on your property. If someone were to vandalize or burglarize your home, you would typically get coverage from your insurance to repair damages done to the home or replace most of the items that might have been stolen.
Then there’s the criminal conviction reward limit. This is an additional form of coverage that provides up to the amount stated in the policy for information leading to an arrest and conviction following a crime that results in the loss of covered property. So if a person provides information related to a crime resulting in property loss, their home insurance may pay out.
