Trail Boss vs AT4 power and specs
Both the Trail Boss and the AT4 use the 5.3 EcoTec3 V8 as their base engine. This gives them 355 horsepower and 383 pounds of torque, though you can upgrade to the 6.2L V8. The upgraded V8 will give you 420 horsepower.
However, the AT4 gives you the option of a 3.0L I-6 Duramax diesel engine. The diesel engine can get you 277 horsepower.
The base engine comes with an eight-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. The other engines come with only a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Trail Boss and the AT4 come loaded with similar off-road packages. The AT4's package is called the X31, and the Trail Boss's package is called the Z71. Both packages have a two-inch suspension lift kit, Hill Descent Control, dual exhaust, underbody skid plate, heavy-duty air filter, and a two-speed Autotrac transfer case.
How do the interior and features compare?
All this power is fine, but it will be no fun to drive if it doesn't come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Fortunately, the AT4 and Trail Boss have both as standard fare.
Both pickups come with other important features, such as dual-zone climate control air conditioning, heated steering wheels, and a remote start system. However, the AT4 comes standard with wireless charging and memory seat options.
