Why is my 2002 Ford Ranger dome light staying on?
After work tonight, I parked my 2002 Ford Ranger in the driveway and went inside to make dinner. I looked outside later on and noticed the dome light was still on. I went out and tried everything I could think of to turn it off, but nothing worked. Do you have any tips on how to turn off my 2002 Ranger’s dome light?

That sounds super frustrating! Lucky for you, there is an easy (and cheap!) solution that doesn’t involve taking your car to the mechanic. To fix your 2002 Ford Ranger dome light, all you need to do is spray WD40 on your door latch and open and close it a few times.
Your Ranger’s dome light is controlled by a switch found in each of your door latches. It’s not uncommon for them to get stuck, causing the dome light to stay on. Usually, this happens with the most used door, but you may need to spray the WD40 into more than one door latch before you find your problem spot.
