My window is broken! I’m not sure how it even happened but something like a rock came and hit it from the side. Who fixes electric car windows? Do I have to go to a special mechanic?

Oh no, sorry to hear about the damage! Fixing power windows can be difficult, but it’s possible. Most mechanics would fix power windows as these are not new technology specific to electric cars only. If it’s a crack or a mechanical issue, most auto shops should be well equipped to handle it.
Unlike the old school wind-up windows that required your arm strength to roll up and down, power windows use a motor system so for us, it’s just the click of a button. Sometimes, like any motor system, there can be issues or shorting in the circuit.
If you are going to try to fix it at home, make sure you have the proper equipment as dealing with electric circuits can potentially be dangerous.
