The “Move Over” or “Emergency Scenes” law states that all drivers must move into the non-adjacent lane and reduce their speed when an emergency vehicle is passing or stopped on the side of the road with lights flashing. If you’re unable to make a stop, slow down until the vehicle has passed.
Failing to abide by the Move Over law could result in a hefty fine.
