Great question! The battery in a 2017 Ford Escape is actually located under the hood—as it is in most models. It can be hard to spot because it is set fairly far back but directly in front of the driver’s seat.
You can remove the plastic overhang that covers the back section of the engine bay—but it’s not absolutely necessary.
