How long is a 2022 Toyota RAV4?
The Toyota RAV4 is available in 12 different trim levels, and there is a small difference in the length between some of them. Here’s how it breaks down:
That extra 0.6 of an inch on the Adventure
, TRD Off-Road
, and Hybrid SE trims may or may not make a difference depending on your situation, but it’s a good thing to be aware of. Anyone who has ever heard the painful sound of a garage door scraping a bumper will tell you that inches (or fractions of them) definitely count. Keep in mind that these numbers may vary slightly if you have another model year, but they should be in the same ballpark.

Will your Toyota RAV4 fit in your garage?
The easiest method to determine whether or not your RAV4 will fit in your garage is to measure the garage. But sometimes that’s not possible in the real world—maybe it’s a new house and you haven’t had a chance to measure, or maybe you’re at the dealership now and you need to make a decision. We’ve got you!
The average American garage is between 20 and 24 feet in depth. The 2022 Toyota RAV4 is between 15.07 and 15.12 feet long, so you should be good to go no matter what trim level you pick.
How about width? You should be golden there too—the average single-car garage is at least 12 feet wide (144 inches), and the width of the RAV4 is either 73 or 73.4 inches. The wider trims are the Adventure and the TRD Off-Road, but again you should be in good shape no matter what trim level you go with.
It’s unclear from Toyota’s website if these measurements include the side mirrors, but even if they don’t you’ll have plenty of room. If your garage looks anything like most of ours do, you may have challenges navigating around the boxes of random stuff lining the perimeter, but you’re on your own there.

RECOMMENDEDThis app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
