What’s the best year for a used Highlander?
Which model year of Toyota Highlander should I buy used? I’ve never bought a used car on my own before and I want to be sure that I get the best year.

According to reviews, the best year for a used Toyota Highlander is 2017. This model offers great standard safety features, which makes it an attractive option for used car buyers. Drivers were quite pleased with this version of the Highlander, and this model year scores well for reliability, too.
If you’re hoping for a newer Highlander, critics recommend the 2020 model year. This model is well-built and reliable, and drivers claim that the Highlander has improved with age. The 2021 and 2022 model years were also highly rated.
With that being said, however, some critics say that you should avoid the 2019 model year when shopping for a new Highlander. This Highlander year received lower-than-average ratings in categories like reliability and owner satisfaction, making this model year one of the less desirable options when buying used.
