I was thinking of taking a trip to Idaho as part of my quest to visit all 50 states. However, I want to go when there are actually things to do. When’s the best time to visit Idaho?

Unlike many other states that experience huge tourist crowds in the warmer months, the best time to visit
Idaho
is in the summer. Crowds are smaller than you’d see in other areas, the temperatures are far more bearable, and there’s plenty to see and do.If you decide to visit Idaho during the summer, make sure you add a few of these things to your to-do list:
- Visit the breathtaking Shoshone Falls.
- Take a stroll across the amazing Perrine Bridge, which sits almost 500 feet above the Snake River.
- Go sandboarding at the famous Bruneau Sand Dunes.
- Grab some friends and head out on a float trip on the Boise River.
- Hike in the Sawtooth National Forest for some great photo ops and a bit of exercise.
