Although both Devils Tower and Yellowstone are both in
Wyoming
, they’re deceptively far apart. Traveling from one to the other covers 350 miles and takes about 6 hours, so it’s an all-day trip—here’s the best route from Devils Tower to Yellowstone**:
  • Take WY-24 South out of Devils Tower.
  • Head west on US-14.
  • Go west on I-90.
  • Take exit 58 for US-16 West.
  • Take WY-31 North.
  • Continue on US-20.
  • Make a left onto WY-30.
  • Continue on US-14, which takes you to the east entrance to Yellowstone.
Wyoming is the most sparsely populated state in the country and has huge stretches of remote wilderness—as such, you may want to consider
towing and labor coverage
. This coverage functions just like roadside assistance, giving you protection if you run out of gas, get a flat tire, or have a dead battery. Just make sure to use the
