Does AAA insure rebuilt titles?
I currently have an insurance policy with AAA and purchased a salvage car that my son and I rebuilt. It went through extensive testing and is road-certified. Will we be able to insure it with AAA?

—and they even offer full-coverage. Assuming the vehicle has passed the required inspections, you shouldn’t have a problem getting car insurance
through AAA.Keep in mind that a rebuilt title can only be issued to a car once the car is repaired and inspected by the state or jurisdiction that issues titles. If the repairs check out, the car title is changed from salvage to rebuilt to reflect the repairs performed and denote that the car is now fixed and roadworthy.
Some insurers may require proof of documentation that the vehicle has been fixed, which may include the following:
- A certified mechanic’s statement
- Before and after photos of your car
- Original repair estimate for the vehicle
