What type of oil does the Audi Q7 use?

I haven’t had a chance to read up on my new Audi Q7 yet, but I know it needs an oil change soon. What kind of oil should I pick up?

Audi Q7s
with gasoline engines use oil with a viscosity of SAE 5W-40, 5W-30, or an alternate viscosity grade as outlined in your manual. For Diesel engines, use oil with an SAE 5W-30 rating.
Here are some other materials you’ll need to successfully perform an oil change:
  • Rags or cloths to wipe up any spills
  • Tools, including a wrench set and mallet
  • Safety glasses
  • Oil filter gasket
  • A container to drain the old oil into
  • Funnel
  • Oil pan
