I want to buy a new Dodge Challenger but I’m torn between the 392 and a Scat Pack. For me, it all comes down to speed. But which is faster: the 392 or the Scat Pack?

With that said, a 392 is not faster than the Scat Pack.The reason that the difference in speed between the 392 and Scat Pack is probably unnoticeable is that both are powered by a 485-horsepower, 6.4-liter supercharged V-8 and have almost identical weights. With this engine at the helm, both the Scat Pack and the 392 offer these speeds:
- 0-60: 4.2 seconds
- 0-100: 11.1 seconds
- Quarter-mile: 13.9 seconds
- Top speed: 174 mph
