Traveling long distances definitely gets boring, so it’s a good idea to listen to something while driving that will help you stay alert. Some listening options that might interest you more than the radio include:
A curated playlist: Before you leave, create a playlist with all of your favorite songs. Alternatively, ask a friend or your partner to create a playlist for you!
: It seems like there’s a podcast for everything these days. Whether your jam is true crime, gaming, comedy, movies, politics, or just stories, there’s a podcast out there for you.
An audiobook: If you have a library card, check to see if your library partners with Libby, Overdrive, or a similar app that allows you to check out and download audiobooks on your phone. Then, you can read while you’re driving.
Your music library: Rather than listening to a playlist, shuffle your entire music library. You might find some hidden gems that you’d forgotten about!
Speeches: Feel like brushing up on your history? Cue up some famous speeches to keep you company on your drive.
Language apps: If you want to make it the most productive road trip ever, try learning a new language while driving. Babbel and Duolingo are a couple of popular language-teaching apps.
