What is the standard warranty on a Lexus?
I’m considering buying a Lexus, but I want to compare the warranties on a Lexus against a couple of other cars I’ve looked at. What does Lexus’s standard warranty cover?

Researching warranty coverage is super important, so it’s good that you’re looking at all of your options! The standard warranty on a Lexus is valid for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, with wheel alignment and balancing for 12 months or 12,000 miles. The basic warranty covers repairs and adjustments required to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any part supplied by Lexus.
The powertrain warranty is applicable for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first, and covers repairs needed to fix defects in materials or workmanship of any of the following components:
- Engine
- Transmission and transaxle
- Front-wheel drive system
- Rear-wheel drive system
- Hybrid vehicle system
The corrosion perforation warranty is valid for 72 months with unlimited mileage. It covers the repair or replacement of any original body panel that develops perforation from corrosion. However, certain exceptions can be found on Lexus’s Basic Warranty page.
