How do you remove an accident from your driving record in California?

Can an accident be removed from your driving record in California? I know points can be removed sometimes, but I don’t know how that works for car accidents.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to remove an accident from your driving record in
California
unless the accident was listed by mistake. In the rare event that this occurs, you can use form DL-208: Traffic Accident Record Correction Request to fix the issue.
Otherwise, accidents will remain on your California driving record for three years before being automatically removed. Some severe, at-fault accidents may even remain on your record for up to 10 years.
As long as the accident is still on your record, your insurance will be affected. To make sure you’re still getting the best deal, check out the
