with a winch will vary depending on the winch that you buy, but you’ll likely need a 12-volt high-performance battery.Most Jeeps don’t require a special battery. However, adding a winch to your Jeep can strain the Jeep’s electrical system and a battery upgrade may be in order. A winch provides an extra layer of protection while off-roading and can help pull your Jeep out of muddy and/or tricky situations or help pull anyone else you might be riding with out of similarly tough situations.
