According to Car & Driver Magazine, the new Colorado will likely offer three engines—a 3.6L V6, a turbo-diesel 2.8L inline-4 cylinder, and a turbocharged 2.7L inline-4-cylinder engine, which was likely lifted from the last Silverado.
Early promotional material shows a rear light bar and something known as a Safari Bar attached to the front end. The new Colorado will likely come in the following four trims for the associated estimated prices:
The base trim will be spartan and best serve work purposes, like hauling, towing, and other on-the-job tasks. Contrast that to the ZR2 trim, which is expected to be an off-roading menace. Promotional material for the 2023 edition shows the buff, wide-bodied ZR2 equipped with exclusive off-roading gear, including new spool-valve dampers, electronic locking differentials on both axles, a unique front-end design, and the aforementioned light bar.
