What is the 2021 Honda CR-V brake system problem?

I bought a Honda CR-V last year, but I just heard that there might be a recall for the brake system. Is my 2021 Honda CR-V affected?

It’s always good to pay attention to safety news regarding your car. But you might not need to worry about a 2021 Honda CR-V brake system problem.
You’re right, though—recent
Honda CR-V
models have been the subject of a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) probe. Specifically, the NHTSA is looking into complaints that the automated emergency braking system engages unnecessarily (when there isn’t anything blocking the CR-V).
The NHTSA received almost 300 complaints, which included instances of collisions and minor injuries. They launched the probe to investigate 2017 to 2019 CR-Vs and 2018 to 2019 Accords, although the report notes that the problem could include newer model years of these cars.
There is a good chance that your 2021 CR-V isn’t affected, but watch for signs of braking problems and reach out to your local Honda dealership if you experience any problems.
