What influences people to buy electric cars?

I’m not really that interested in buying an electric car, but I am interested in consumer behavior. I’m curious—what is really influencing people to buy electric cars?

That’s a great question and one that many industry experts are using to help encourage people to switch over. According to experts, some key factors include government policy, environmental awareness, and social influence.
Some of the negatives or deterrents for
electric vehicles
are cost, performance, lack of infrastructure, and fear of change.
For consumers to make the switch from browsers to buyers, especially from an old system to a new system, the positive factors must greatly outweigh the negative. As social beings, two large factors are social influence and guilt: we don’t want to be left out of a trend, especially if the trend is to help the environment.
One reason why the conversion rate in Norway was so fast was because of the heavy government incentives and infrastructure, which overshadowed all the costs of adopting a new type of vehicle. Another reason was the social influence.
While you may not be looking for an electric car, you may be looking for affordable car insurance.
