What does a Fiat extended warranty cover?

Although the new car warranty from Fiat is better than many of the other options, I still want to get an extended warranty for some added protection—provided it’s worth the price. What does the extended warranty from Fiat cover?

The Fiat extended warranty covers either 850 or 5,000 components, depending on which plan you choose. However, it only goes into effect once the 4-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty has expired.
Prices vary, but you can choose between the Added Care Plus plan or the Maximum Care plan. Here’s what they cover.
Added Care Plus:
  • Transmission
  • Steering
  • Engine
  • Cooling and fuel systems
  • Drivetrain
  • AC and heating
  • Audio and multimedia systems
  • Steering system and suspension
Maximum Care:
  • All of the features of the Added Care Plus plan
  • Trailer hitches
  • Brake components
  • Body and interior paint
  • Windows and windshield
  • Plastic molding
  • Maintenance services
