Is the Kia Telluride a mid-size SUV?
I’m a busy mother of five, and the lease is up on our Chevy Suburban that has been, frankly, beat to hell from years of taking the kids to school, soccer, and hockey (and lately, being used by my 16-year-old son to practice his driving skills). Anyways, my husband and I like the Kia Telluride, but someone mentioned it's actually a mid-size SUV, so I’m not sure it will work for us. Is the Kia Telluride a mid-size SUV?

The 2023
Kia Telluride
is indeed a mid-size SUV. But don’t sell it short—it’s a value-packed vehicle that’s plenty capable of hauling up to eight passengers, along with a fair amount of cargo.Sure, it only measures 196.9 inches compared to the Suburban’s 225 inches—but aren’t you tired of driving that bus, anyway? The Telluride offers a refreshingly spacious and airy cabin, top-notch materials even at the lower trims, and plenty of standard tech features. With a second-row bench, you’ll seat eight occupants comfortably when needed. If you opt for two second-row captain’s chairs, the capacity is reduced to seven occupants.
Aside from its ample space, the Telluride offers a much smoother driving experience, even if it doesn’t have the bravado of a Suburban or a Chevy Tahoe. But are those full-size SUVs as elegant and stylish as the Telluride? We think not.
