Is Hyundai’s ten-year warranty transferable?

I’m in the market for a new/used car, and I’ve been looking at a few Hyundais. I know they have a great warranty when you buy them new, but is that ten-year warranty transferable to a second owner?

You’re right,
Hyundais
have some of the best warranties on the market, but, no, the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty is only available to the car’s original owner.
However, if you purchase a Hyundai Certified Used Vehicle instead of buying from an individual seller, you’ll be covered by these warranties:
  • 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty
  • 10-year/100,000-mile certified used vehicles powertrain limited warranty
  • 10-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance
  • 10-year/100,000-mile hybrid/EV battery warranty (if applicable)
Whether you buy from an independent seller or a certified Hyundai dealer, you’re still getting one of the most reliable vehicles on the market. Used cars do tend to be a little more expensive when it comes to maintenance and repairs, though, so take the opportunity to save money on
