How often should I have my car battery tested?
I just bought a cheap car battery with a one-year warranty. I've had it for 18 months with no problems, but I'm worried about it crapping out on me. How often should I have my car battery tested now and in the future?

“According to most manufacturers, you should get your battery checked at least twice a year to ensure it’s not losing a charge and remains in tip-top condition. If you live in a cold climate, you might even want to up this to three times a year.
If you live in a state with required car inspections, you may have had your battery already tested at least once since you’ve had the battery for 18 months.
If your battery hasn’t been tested and there are issues with starting your car, you can always go to a local auto parts store. They should test your battery for free.
It doesn’t hurt to add a little extra coverage in case your car won’t start. You can get jumpstarts and towing through
