Where is the gas button on a Subaru Forester?

I borrowed my mom’s Subaru Forester and I'm filling it up before I drop it off at her place. But I pulled into the gas station without knowing where the gas cap release button is! Can you help me out?

Not to worry! The gas button on a Subaru Forester is actually a lever. Look to the left on the floor of the driver’s seat—there should be a black rectangular lever with an icon of a gas pump on it.

Pull up on the lever to open the latch on the cover over the gas tank so you can access the cap and fill up your mom’s Forester!
