How much is a Kia extended warranty?
I have a 2021 Kia for which I didn’t purchase extended warranty coverage. However, after my previous car had issues several times outside of the original warranty period, I’m considering investing in extra coverage. How much are Kia’s plans?

Kia’s website doesn’t specify a cost for the Kia extended warranty plans, but because they are purchased from the dealership, prices may be negotiable. However, some drivers report paying around $1,600 for a 7-year/75,000-mile Kia extended warranty.
If you’re looking for a Kia Extended Warranty, there are five levels to choose from, all with coverage up to 120,000 miles:
- Powertrain: Offers coverage for the engine, transmission, drive axle, and additional hybrid/plug-in electric vehicle components.
- Silver: Covers all components in the Powertrain coverage plan, plus the steering, brakes, air conditioning, electrical, and front suspension.
- Gold: Covers all components in the Silver plan, with the addition of the engine, transmission, drive axle, brake, air conditioning, steering, front suspension, electrical, and hybrid/plug-in parts.
- Gold Plus: Covers all components in the Gold plan, along with the engine cooling system and additional parts in each component category.
- Platinum: A bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers most vehicle parts, except for routine maintenance and wear-and-tear items.
