How much does it cost to jump start your car if you don't have AAA?

I don't have AAA, but I want to know what would happen if my battery dies. How much would it cost to have a company jump start your battery?

If you call a local towing company or roadside assistance company, they might charge you anywhere from $50 to $100 for a
jump start
.
At that price, you could almost buy a new battery. But you also have other options.
If you have jumper cables, call a taxi. Often you can have them run the meter while they jump start your car. You could also call a friend or family member with a car to help.
However, the best choice is probably to purchase a
AAA membership
or add
towing and labor coverage
to your auto insurance policy.
You could also use an app like
Jerry
for a roadside assistance membership. Jerry doesn’t just
compare car insurance
, this car super app also has a roadside assistance membership that includes jump starts. You may qualify for a special rate of $50 for your first year!
Any type of roadside assistance coverage included in your
car insurance
would get you out of a sticky situation and provide you with peace of mind.
