How much does it cost per mile to tow a car?
My car ran out of gas on a road trip through Colorado. I have a towing package on my Progressive policy, but my car is pretty far out there. How much will it cost per mile for the tow?

Progressive’s
roadside assistance
will pay to tow you anywhere within a 15-mile radius. Since it sounds like you may be further out than that, they will tow you to the closest shop they can find. Progressive doesn’t have a per-mile fee unless you request to go somewhere specific outside of the 15 miles. The cost will depend on the area and who they are partnered with, but they can quote it over the phone before you decide.
Better yet, they also have a fuel delivery system. So you pay for the cost of the gas, and the delivery and service costs are on them!
