How many spark plugs does a 4.7 Dodge engine have?
I have an older Dodge RAM with a 4.7-liter engine under the hood. Recently, it’s been running a bit weak, and I think it’s desperately in need of a tune-up. I’m going to try my hand at it, so I just need to know what to buy. How many spark plugs do I need for a 4.7-liter Dodge engine?

On 2007 and older Dodge 4.7 engines, you will need eight spark plugs. Newer engines require 16 spark plugs. Depending on the quality of the spark plugs, you can usually find a pack of eight for between $30 and $75.
Since you have a RAM with the 4.7-liter Dodge engine, doing a tuneup about every 30,000 miles will ensure that your truck runs well, even if it has high miles.
