I’m researching some of the most capable off-road trucks and I keep coming across the Ford F-150 Tremor. I’ve been told that the Tremor is kind of a limited edition. Is that true?
back in 2002. It had a 485-watt Pioneer sound system and a state-of-the-art head unit with CD, cassette, and AM/FM radio functions. Only 6,000 units of this limited edition truck were made that year. They were available in Chrome Yellow, black, or Sonic Blue and were complete with the now iconic Tremor badge on the side of the cab.
Come 2014, Tremor was marketed as an off-road package for the F-150. The Tremor featured a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and a rear-locking differential, but it was discontinued the following year.
Since then, the Tremor package has made fleeting appearances in the latest generation of F-150 trucks and was added as a trim level for the 2022 model year. In fact, a Ford F-150 Tremor that left the assembly line in Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan plant was the 40 millionth F-150 ever produced!
