How many Ford Lightnings were made?
I’ve been trying to get my hands on the new Ford Lightning electric truck but I can’t seem to find any in my area. I know it’s pretty new, but is it really that hard to find?

The
new Ford electric truck
—the Ford F-150 Lightning—only hit markets for the 2022 model year but was met with high demand. Ford received over 200,000 reservations for Ford Lightning orders before the truck had even entered production. Ford has not disclosed final production numbers for 2022, but we do know that Ford intends to make 150,000 Ford F-150 Lightnings for 2023 and that this number roughly doubles production for 2022. As such, it’s safe to say that the Ford F-150 Lightning has been met with outstanding initial success—and that there should be more hitting dealerships soon!
