How many cylinders does a Mazda RX8 have?

I was thinking about buying a Mazda RX8, but I’m not sure if it has the power I want. I typically prefer at least a V6 engine, but most often, I’ve driven cars with turbochargers or V8 engines. How many cylinders are under the hood of a Mazda RX8?

Interestingly, a
Mazda RX8
has no cylinders. Instead, it employs a rotary engine, which features two rotors instead of the cylinders ordinarily found in an internal combustion engine.
Unlike cylinders that go up and down to mix gas and air and then ignite the gas with spark plugs to power the engine, the RX8’s rotor system is a bit different. It still has the same idea in terms of mixing gas and air and igniting that mixture with spark plugs, but instead, it uses two encased triangular rotors. This makes the RX8 one of the only cars in modern memory to use rotors to power the engine.
However, the results are anything but lax. You may want a V6 or V8, but the RX8’s 1.3-liter two-rotor engine provides between 189 and 238 horsepower, which produces a 0-60 mph time of as little as 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 145 mph. Just make sure to keep that engine running as smoothly as possible with a regular
