I was at a car show last weekend and finally had a chance to see a 1987 Buick Grand National in the flesh! The owner told me that it was extremely rare, and he was just lucky enough to buy one from his neighbor. However, he wasn’t exactly sure how many Buick made—how many 1987 Grand Nationals were manufactured?

There’s a bit of confusion surrounding this. Buick made 20,193 Buick Grand Nationals in 1987, which means the model isn’t exactly rare. However, Buick made only 547 of the Buick Grand National GNX, which is probably the vehicle you saw at the auto show.
Today, you can easily find a 1987 Buick Grand National for a price of around $15,000 to $30,000
depending on the condition and mileage
