I just installed a new asphalt driveway. It cost a pretty penny, so I don’t want to mess it up by driving on it too early. How long should I wait before driving on freshly laid asphalt?

Congrats on the new driveway! If you want to avoid damaging the asphalt, wait to drive on it for 24 hours or up to 48 hours in hot weather or warm climates.
Allowing the asphalt to set for 24 to 48 hours makes sure it cures correctly. If you fail to wait this long, you can inadvertently create grooves or an uneven surface that’s also aesthetically unpleasing.
